Tunnel survey and monitoring systems

Geocon uses various technical systems to ensure the controlled immersion of a tunnel segment. Data measured in this context can be visualised with the aid of the Geocon software application.

Among other things, these readings involve tensile forces in the winches, current pressures in the jack systems and the water levels in the ballast tanks.

They also enable the monitoring of pressure in the immersed joint, allowing the operator to keep close track of the initial compression of the GINA seal and current pressure levels in the joint while the water is being pumped out.

All readings are logged in real time at a central database. Immediately after the segment’s immersion, the operator can export the relevant data from this database.
